Lipe Art Park announces call for art for new landscape opening! Three artists will be awarded $500 each for outdoor art to be displayed at Lipe Art Park. All mediums welcome. Work must be installed by July 20th.

Stone Quarry Hill Art Park Announces Call for Entries for 2017 National Juried Exhibition, In-Habit: Practice and Place.

Open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories, 18 years of age or older. In-Habit: Practice and Place is a juried exhibition which invites artists to submit work which explores the concept and rituals associated with dwelling.

Westcott Street Cultural Fair (WSCF), September 17, 2017

Seeking musicians, bands and performers

Applications open, April 1 to May 31

The WSCF is a one-day celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of the Westcott neighborhood through its culture: visual and performing arts, food, service organizations and activities geared to families and Syracuse and LeMoyne students returning to the neighborhood. The fair features 6 stages, including 3 music, 2 dance and a kids stage. We are looking for musicians, bands and performers to perform on each of these stages. ArtRage Gallery is seeking submissions by women-identified artists of Central New York whose work addresses issues facing women in 2017. Examples of themes: reproductive choice, healthcare, sexual violence, harassment, equal pay, beauty standards, gender roles, work that speaks to intersectionality of sexism and racism, etc.

ArtRage is seeking 2-D, 3-D and media-based work. (Note: the gallery has limited space for 3-D work). Submissions can be of finished work or for proposals for new work. Proposals for new work must include detailed plans and 4 examples of past work. This exhibition is in collaboration with the Everson Museum of Art’s summer exhibition, SEEN & HEARD, which will feature contemporary artists addressing issues of visibility and representation. The exhibition at ArtRage will open shortly after the Everson’s exhibition closes to continue this community conversation into the fall of 2017.

In honor of our ArtRage's upcoming exhibition At All Costs: Photographs of American Workers by Earl Dotter,ArtRage Gallery is calling for workers of CNY to send them photos.

The photos will be included in an ArtRage Gallery Facebook album. Select photos will be printed and included in a window display at ArtRage Gallery during Earl Dotter’s exhibition throughout May 2017. Read more about the exhibition and ArtRage for the opening reception on Saturday, April 8 from 7-9pm at ArtRage Gallery, 505 Hawley Ave., Syracuse, NY 13203. Your photos will go up in May.
