Onondaga Community College
Onondaga Community College is the second largest undergraduate institution in Central New York with a long history of commitment to the arts. The College hosts Arts Across Campus events each fall and spring semester, including annual Legends of Jazz Series concerts. The College campus is also home to 14 outdoor sculptures.
Arts Across Campus is an annual program that brings nationally recognized concerts, theatre, lectures, films, and art exhibits to Onondaga. Many of the artists also hold master classes where students can be taught by a famous artist in a small classroom setting. Arts Across Campus makes high quality art and artistic programming accessible to students and our diverse citizenry, enriching the learning experience through innovative programming designed to promote global perspectives, foster creativity, and cultivate lifelong engagement in the arts.
As part of the Arts Across Campus initiative, and through partnerships with Sculpture Space and Syracuse University, the College has on display various outdoor sculpture installations located throughout the campus. These sculptures help support President Dr. Debbie L. Sydow’s mission to "inspire lifelong learning in, about, and through the arts".
