Marketing/Communications Assistant - Summer
CNY Arts, a regional arts council that promotes, supports, and celebrates arts and culture in Central New York is seeking a junior or senior marketing/communications intern interested in gaining experience working in a nonprofit arts and cultural organization. This internship plays an integral role in the development and implementation of marketing efforts that raise the visibility of arts and culture in the region and position Central New York as an arts and cultural destination.
The intern will learn about and assist in the development of web, social media and inbound marketing strategies that build awareness of and drive traffic to the gotocnyarts.org arts and cultural events calendar. Implement outreach strategies that target arts organizations and artists for inclusion in the CNY Arts directory. Intern will assist in the daily operations of a content management system, design advertising creative and create other marketing collateral.
Junior or senior-level student working toward a degree in marketing, public relations, advertising, or other related communications field. Intern must have demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, achieve measurable goals and be highly motivated. Strong verbal/written communication and research skills. Internship will often work with the public and therefore must be personable and professional. Preference will be given to applicants who possess a 3.0 or higher GPA. CNY Arts will work with your advisor/school to arrange for credit.
