Summer Events at MOST
The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) will be premiering the new movie, “Dragon’s: Real Myths and Unreal Creatures,” on July 2. It will be shown at MOST’s Bristol IMAX Omnitheater and is presented by First Niagara Foundation.
“Dragon’s: Real Myths and Unreal Creatures” takes on a “docu-fictional” approach by mixing stunning computer-generated visuals with actors, including “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Game of Thrones” star, Max von Sydow, and rising Canadian star, Laurence Leboeuf. The film explores the world’s fascination with dragons over thousands of years, and traces the legends of these creatures across different cultures and continents. It looks at dragons’ connections to history, geography, paleontology, literature, art, national identity and more.
MOST will also be hosting a Tiki Party on June 30 to help kick-off summer. There will be an open bar and a light dinner starting at 5:30 pm, and a screening of the IMAX movie, “The Ultimate Wave: Tahiti.” The film follows 11-time world surfing champion, Kelly Slater, and Tahitian surfer, Raimana Van Bastolaer, seeking the perfect wave-riding experience at Tahiti’s famous Teahupo’o.
This film will be shown at the IMAX Omnitheater from now through August, but it will be shown at the Tiki Party at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the party are $25 a person, and all attendees must be 21 or older. Check out Visit MOST for some exciting movies and an entertaining party you won’t want to miss!
