St. David's Celebration of the Arts
St. David’s Celebration of the Arts is an annual gift to the community from parishioners. Local artists are juried and over 100 show each year as the church is turned into an art gallery and performance venue. The Celebration continues this weekend performances and gallery hours throughout. (Art is available for purchase.)
Friday, May 10, 8:00 pm: Tomorrow presented by The Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company. This devised work blends the writings of well known playwrights, poets, and civil activists to examine several issues we face today.
Saturday, May 11, 8:00 pm: From Upstate NY - Nick Ziobro: A Cabaret of the American Songbook. “…The New York Times praised him for an easy swinging confidence and charm that suggested he could evolve into another Michael Bublé.”
Art Gallery Hours:
Saturday-Sunday, May 4-5 and Friday-Sunday, May 10-12: 11:00 am until receptions after performances end.
Monday-Thursday, May 6-9: by appointment (446-2112)
The 2013 Celebration of the Arts grant recipient is Red House Arts Center, to provide scholarships for their summer camp programs in theater, music and art. Congratulations Red House!
