(Syracuse, New York) Want to meet Hollywood stars like GianCarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Rob Edwards (The Princess and the Frog), Jim Morris and Ben Burtt (Wall-E) and Thomas Newman (Skyfall)? Then join FilmTalks when these stars come to town, a series produced by FilmInSyracuse and sponsored by the Film Program at Le Moyne College.
FilmInSyracuse is the organization that produces the SYRACUSE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL each October. Together with Le Moyne College, FilmInSyracuse has created the new series called FilmTalks – Conversations with The Stars. On April 16, at 7:30pm you can meet and talk with Siobhan Fallon-Hogan, the film and television actress who got her start on Saturday Night Live after growing up in Cazenovia, NY.
Siobhan Fallon Hogan has been seen in several blockbusters over the past fifteen years. The redheaded character actress has had many memorable roles in films such as Men in Black (1997), Forrest Gump (1994), Charlotte's Web (2006), Holes (2003), The Negotiator (1998), Daddy Day Care (2003), and Baby Mama (2008). Siobhan is also a graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York and received her M.F.A. from Catholic University. She began her career on stage in her own character-driven, one-women shows and was cast on "Saturday Night Live" (1975) in 1992. This show opened many doors for Fallon, and she then began to work steadily in film. Although she began in comedy, Fallon has a following in dramatic foreign films, notably Lars von Trier's Dancer in the Dark (2000) and Dogville (2003). She also played in Michael Haneke's Funny Games (2007). Her television credits include a recurring role on "Seinfeld" (1990) as Elaine's roommate, Alec Baldwin's sister on "30 Rock" (2006) and several other guest spots. Fallon-Hogan completed filming Gold Circle Film's New in Town starring Renée Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. in 2009. She plays Renee's secretary, Blanche, who hails from Minnesota. The romantic comedy was released in early 2009.
