CNY Arts Welcomes Colleen Prossner
Colleen is presently the Executive Director at the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College and has been in this position since 2001. Colleen sits on the Cazenovia Arts and Heritage Alliance, a group of like-minded organizations in the Cazenovia area, promoting culture and arts to the surrounding communities.
She is presently a member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary Board, as well as the St. Joseph's Hospital College of Nursing Governing Board. Colleen was named the 2013 Auxiliary Member of the Year, an award presented in memory of Hannah Pease Fuller, founder of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary in the late 1800's.
She directs a summer children's theatre workshop, and has produced all of the shows presented at the Catherine Cummings Theatre. She can also be seen from time to time singing jazz standards with the JT Hall Jazz Consort and at other venues around the area. Colleen comes from a family of six children, all in the arts, dance or music, and her parents, Robert & Maria Curley created a love of the arts in all of their children from a very young age. Her Mother, Maria, 80 years old, currently runs Present Company Productions, a theatre company out of Oneida New York, and has presented dinner theatre to the community for over 50 years.
Colleen resides in Cazenovia New York with her husband Ross, and children Samantha and Jake.
