Call for Graphic Designer
Reviving Place Project
The CNY Arts, working as a sub-contractor for the Onondaga Environmental Institute (OEI), is seeking a graphic designer to design a 12 month 2017 calendar using art work and artistic elements created from four original artistic “maps” and student art works that incorporated community input related to one of four focus areas: Ley Creek, the Southside, the Tully Valley, and the east shore of Onondaga Lake.
The application deadline is 4:00pm on May 6th

The graphic artist selected will be compensated for their graphic design work on the calendar upon CNY Arts and OEI approval of the design. Responses to this RFP must include hourly rates and projected total hours to be seriously considered. OEI will have full ownership of the finished piece including full digital and reproduction rights.
A 12-month calendar will be created based on the art work and artistic elements of four original artistic “community maps” and student art works that were created for each of the four project focus area. These maps focus on capturing the spirit and priorities of a community (as determined during community meetings) rather than precise geography, and the calendar will be a reflection and culmination of the community map artistic project.
The project is open to graphic designers living in Central New York (Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego Counties).
