Connecting Arts Culture and Community

ENGAGE CNY is a year-long effort to develop an arts and cultural plan to boost Central New York's regional vitality. The project includes information gathering through focus groups, forums and community surveying. These findings will lead to actionable items to transform the cultural landscape of our region that will attract visitors, increase quality of life for residents and define our region's cultural identity.


Public Programs

CNY Arts produces three public programs each year. Learn more about each program below:

Each March, more than 200 students and 50 adults attend the Michael Harms Theater Festival for a day filled with performances and workshops led by theater professionals.

Dasher's Magical Gift
In December, hundreds of excited children will visit the Crouse Hinds Theater for this new holiday classic performed by the ballet dancers of Dance Centre North, under the direction of Larry Crabtree.

The annual CNY Arts On My Own Time program is a business and arts partnership that has celebrated the creativity of Central New York workers since 1973.

Collaborative MarketingCNY Arts manages a comprehensive, regional Collaborative Marketing Information System (CMIS) featuring an Events CalendarDirectory, and Blog. The CMIS is promoted throughout the region through an integrated marketing campaign. 

Arts Education - CNY Arts' programs that focus on Arts Education. 

IDEAS Collaborative - The Initiative to Develop and Engage Audiences and Services created to strengthen arts, culture, heritage organizations and the creative community in Central New York. 

CNY Arts' Resource Page - A page of helpful research tools, industry reports and jobs, volunteer opportunities and calls for artists listings.
