Title: Syracuse Community Choir, Logistics Coordinator

Season: March through June 15, 2016

Hours: 3 to10 hours a week, primarily late afternoon and evenings

Maximum season hours: 150 Pay:$12.00-$15.00 hour

 

Summary: In keeping with the mission of the Syracuse Community Choir (SCC), Assist the Director in the coordination of weekly rehearsals, fundraisers and logistics for 13 weeks prior and including the June 12th performance; work in partnership with the Membership Coordinator, Membership Committee and Administrative Assistant; model and encourage inclusive participation

Duties include but are not limited to:

Rehearsal: Assist the Director and Membership Coordinator in the set-up and clean-up of weekly rehearsals. (Wednesday evenings 6:15-9:15pm prior to the concert, starting March 30).

Assist in creation, organization and collection of choir logistics/information forms such as pledge cards, volunteer sheets, newsletters, and music, including regular, print, large print and Braille (as needed) and organize weekly pledge system and money collection with Bookkeeper.

Provide assistance to the membership committee and singers in carrying out goals for participation and inclusion including but not limited to: welcoming, logistics with new singers, announcements, seating, working with section leaders and direct support staff, community building, arranging childcare, as needed.

Take photos/videos at rehearsals and events and post on social media as requested by the Director.

Fundraising: Attend meetings and work with volunteers and staff to obtain, store and catalog items for silent auction at the Spring Fling Dinner Concert (May 7th). Attend the event and assist as needed.

Work with SCC members and staff to obtain sponsors for concert program and assist in monitoring all income associated. Other duties as requested

Skills: Social media and computer (including spread sheets), communication and organizing; Access to a car required for tasks such as picking up music, donated items or choir equipment.
