The art of dry stone wall building is an art and skill that’s in danger of becoming extinct, but is an easy and fun skill to learn! The workshop will provide the skills necessary to replicate dry stone wall building in personal or professional practice.
Not only will the project be an educational look into a lost art, it will also bring community members together to take care of the Art Park! Each workshop participant will construct a four-foot long section of wall, which will be the feature of the Art Park’s new entrance. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with your neighbors to leave your mark on the park.
All tools, materials, and food will be provided. The cost of the workshop is $350 for non-members, $325 for Art Park members. Registration is limited so please register below or call the Art Park office at (315) 655-3196 to reserve your spot.
This workshop is made possible with partial funding from The John Ben Snow Foundation and material donations from T.H. Kinsella and Solid Rock Stone Builders.
