CNY Arts Board Changes

As CNY Arts begins 2016, the Board would like to acknowledge several milestones and changes to our Board of Directors.

First, the Board gratefully acknowledges the outstanding leadership of outgoing Board Vice President Eunice Williams and Board Secretary Christine Flynn. Both Eunice and Christine have helped to guide the Board and the agency during some of the most compelling (and sometimes nerve-wracking) transitions we’ve experienced at CNY Arts, including the increase of its service region from three to six counties, the creation of the collaborative marketing system, and the ENGAGE regional assessment and cultural plan.

This month, current Board Member Fritz Messere will begin his service as the new Vice President of the CNY Arts Board and Board Member Cliff Tsan will become Secretary. Thank you, Eunice and Chris for all your hard work on behalf of the arts, culture, and heritage community. CNY Arts welcomes back Catherine Gerard, Board President Emeritus to the voting board.

Also in January, CNY Arts welcomes Elizabeth Dunbar to the Board of Directors. Elizabeth is President and CEO of Everson Museum of Art, taking over leadership of the museum early last year. She will also serve on the Arts and Culture Leadership Alliance of Central New York Advocacy Committee. The Board is eager to work with its new officers and members on the exciting plans for 2016.
