Call for Artists: 2nd Annual Pop Up Gallery
40 Below's Public Art Task Force and Point of Contact gallery are collaborating to bring you the 2nd annual summer pop up gallery. This exhibition is designed to be a showcase artists from the Syracuse area, and we are looking for a variety of different styles!
An opening reception will be Thursday, July 21 at Point of Contact Gallery located at 350 W. Fayette Street, Syracuse, NY 13202. The reception will be held from 68pm. Free parking is available in the Syracuse University lot on the corner of West Street and Fayette Street. Work will be on display to the public July 21-23, and July 28-30 from 12-5pm each day.
We will be accepting submissions of two dimensional artwork and sculpture from artists in the Syracuse area. We will not accept submissions of video installations. Artists may submit multiple works to be considered. Due to space limitations, we cannot guarantee all submitted artwork will be included in the show.
If you would like to submit your work to the show, please email the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, July 8 :
● 1-3 digital images of your piece
● Dimensions of your work
● Title of your work
● Your email and phone number
A local selection committee will be responsible for selecting the artworks for this project. PATF and Point of Contact Gallery seek to have a well-balanced and diverse exhibition with a variety of styles, types, and sizes. All artworks must be finished works and ready to be installed.
Work will be dropped off at Point of Contact Gallery on Thursday, July 14 from 1:25pm & Friday, July 15 from 1:25pm or by appointment. At the event conclusion, work can be picked up at Point of Contact Galley Thursday, August 4 from 1:25pm or Friday, August 5 from 1:25pm. If you are unavailable during these times please contact Miranda Traudt at email@example.com to arrange a drop off/pick up time.
We will not handle any transactions, however you may sell art at the reception or leave your contact information to help you connect with a buyer. any sold works may not be picked up by the buyer until after the exhibit has ended.
